By using factcheckit you confirm your acceptance of, and agree to be bound by, these terms and conditions.

2. Agreement to Terms and Conditions

This Agreement takes effect on the date on which you first install and use the factcheckit browser extension.

3. Service License and Usage Rights

The factcheckit Service License grants users access to our AI-powered fact-checking service through our browser extension. Designed for individuals, researchers, journalists, and anyone seeking to verify information online, factcheckit empowers users to instantly fact-check selected text from web pages.

This license provides access to our fact-checking API service through purchased credits or subscription plans. However, it is important to acknowledge that we retain the right to terminate or suspend service access in cases of misuse, violation of terms, or technical requirements.

By using factcheckit, users agree to use the service responsibly and in accordance with these terms, while recognizing our right to maintain service quality and security through access management.

4. Refunds

Due to the nature of digital services and API credits, factcheckit credits and subscriptions cannot be refunded once purchased and activated. All sales are final.

5. Service Accuracy Disclaimer

It is not warranted that factcheckit will provide 100% accurate fact-checking results or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Our AI-powered fact-checking is designed to assist users but should not be considered the sole source of truth.

All express and implied warranties or conditions not stated in this Agreement (including without limitation, loss of profits, loss or corruption of data, business interruption or loss of contracts), so far as such exclusion or disclaimer is permitted under the applicable law are excluded and expressly disclaimed. This Agreement does not affect your statutory rights.

6. Warranties and Limitation of Liability

factcheckit does not give any warranty, guarantee or other term as to the accuracy, completeness, fitness for purpose or otherwise of the fact-checking results. factcheckit shall not be liable to you by reason of any representation (unless fraudulent), or any implied warranty, condition or other term, or any duty at common law, for any loss of profit or any indirect, special or consequential loss, damage, costs, expenses or other claims which arise out of or in connection with the use of our fact-checking service.

factcheckit shall not be liable or deemed to be in breach of contract by reason of any delay in performing, or failure to perform, any of its obligations if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond its reasonable control. In the event that factcheckit is deemed liable to you for breach of this Agreement, you agree that factcheckit's liability is limited to the amount actually paid by you for the service.

7. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for:

• Using the service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Not attempting to abuse, hack, or reverse-engineer the service
• Not sharing activation keys or account credentials with others
• Verifying important information through additional sources when necessary
• Using fact-checking results responsibly and not solely relying on automated results for critical decisions

factcheckit is not responsible for how users interpret or act upon fact-checking results.

8. Credit Usage and Service Access

Fact-checking credits are consumed each time you use the service. Credits do not expire but cannot be transferred between accounts. We reserve the right to adjust credit costs for our service as we improve and expand our offerings.

9. Privacy and Data

Your use of factcheckit is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We only process the text you explicitly select for fact-checking and do not store personal information or browsing history.

10. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the factcheckit service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes when possible.

11. General Terms and Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where factcheckit operates. You acknowledge that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between you and factcheckit as a result of your use of these services.

You agree not to hold yourself out as a representative, agent or employee of factcheckit. You agree that factcheckit will not be liable by reason of any representation, act or omission to act by you.
